Over the past ten years my weight has been the only consistent increase in my life, and for at least the last eight of those years I have tried different things, from pills to extreme diets, even some strange workouts to lose the weight. But it isn’t as simple as some may think.
The stomach, I’ve discovered has a mind of its own, literally. Satiety is controlled by a group of over 100 - 500 million nerve cells in the stomach (depending upon which scientist you would like to believe). Could it be, over eating is not so much a psychosomatic disorder? In fact, could it be something, in the stomach drawing one to food like an addict to a drug? Personally, I think it’s a combination. I will update this thought when I complete more research with in a few days....
So today is the day I decided to take control. This morning I got active, (and I’m feeling the activeness I tell you what) I did low impact aerobic activity this morning, and decided to take the stairs instead of the elevators (folks just walk around me, I feel like the slow car on the road, but its OKAY). I also decided to change the way I eat. I’ve established guidelines that to keep in step with my goals and so far so good.
Well, I’ve done the basics. Let’s see how far I can go!
